Fingerprinting Locations

Fingerprints can be captured and submitted electronically at a My FBI Report Preferred Live Scan Location. Electronic submissions eliminate the need to mail fingerprint cards, which may shorten the time it takes to receive your personal criminal history report. Use the state links below to find a preferred Live Scan facility located near you.

Since many small cities and remote areas do not have Live Scan facilities, fingerprints may also be submitted to My FBI Report on the standard FBI Fingerprint Form (FD-258). Most local law enforcement agencies - even some school and campus police departments - have these forms and will take your fingerprints for a small service fee.

If you have already received your personal criminal record, and found errors or inaccuracies, you will need to contact the state court that had jurisdiction in the arrest or conviction. You may also need to contact the state information bureau.
